Donnelly Blasting Services is looking for new team members to join our exciting and fast paced Blast Crew as a Labourer. 

Are you interested in learning more about Explosives? We are looking for team members to join us in assisting our experienced Shot Firing Team working on quarry and civil sites throughout South East Queensland. 

The ideal candidate is hard working, reliable, responsible, enthusiastic and able to follow direction well. Prior experience in the field isn’t required, we’ll train you with all the skills you need, just bring along your can-do attitude. 

Your role will include learning to safety handle explosives including the Priming, Loading and Stemming of Blast Holes. 

Applicants with a Heavy Rigid and/or Security Clearance for explosives would be advantageous. Applicants will be required to hold a White Card. 

Donnelly Blasting Services is currently seeking Diesel Drill Rig Fitters and Service men for maintaining Drill Rigs, MMU's and Various support equipment in South East Queensland.

About the Job – The candidate will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and conduct the following tasks: 

• Diagnostic skills (Electronic & hydraulic).
• Perform scheduled servicing across the drill fleet
• Performing unscheduled repairs.
• Modifications and upgrades.
• Scope repairs and formulate a parts list.
• Able to read and follow procedures/workshop manuals.

The Idea candidate will process the following …

• Trade Certificate - Preferably Heavy Duty
• Hand Tools
• Australian HR Class drivers licence (Desirable but no required)
• Drill Maintenance Ability
• Previous Drill Maintenance Experience
• Experience with Epiroc / Atlas Copco RCS (desirable but not required)

Donnelly Blasting Services is currently seeking applications for Competent and Experienced Brisbane based Shotfirers for Quarry and Civil work in southeast Queensland and surrounds.

About the Job – The candidate will report to the Production Supervisor at our Jimboomba Office and conduct the following task at clients quarries and projects though out south east Queensland and northern NSW.

• Design, load and fire of quarry and civil blast
• Conduct Post blast reporting including blast monitoring 
• Handle Explosive deliveries and assist magazine keeper with maintenance of magazine and stocktakes

The Idea candidate will process the following …

• Qld Shotfirers Licence (Mandatory)
• Qld Explosives Security Clearance (Mandatory)
• Qld Construction Induction (White card)
• Sound knowledge of Basic Computer operations including MS Word and Excel
• Knowledge of Blast design programs (Shotplus experience is desirable, but not essential)
• Knowledge of MMU operation, Heavy Rigid licence is desirable but not required
• Experience with blasting in a quarry 
• Experience blast in a Civil/Built up area not required but would be of advantage
